Estelle: Manifest Affirmations
Estelle is the app I designed, built, priced and published myself, end to end: a thirteen-step onboarding that assembles a personal "constellation", a curated library of 2,332 lines with on-device-feeling personalisation from a Gemini backend behind a Supabase edge function, notifications-as-product, home-screen widgets and share cards. There is no chatbot anywhere in it. The AI is a silent ingredient, not the interface. Subscriptions run through StoreKit and RevenueCat behind a hard paywall, and the whole thing went from decision to live in eleven days.
What Wasn't Working
The affirmations category is full of thin AI wrappers that bill during the trial they promised and answer support with a bounced email. The product gap is not features. It is trust.
How I Fixed It
Ship the honest version: personalisation that runs invisibly behind the content, a paywall that says exactly what it charges and when, real notification craft instead of a chat box, and a working support address.
