Hope Ledger

Hope Ledger compares the practice's visits in Practice Fusion, its billing reports in SimplePractice, card payments and bank deposits, then lists every mismatch in plain words: payments sitting unapplied, visits never invoiced, claims never resubmitted, deposits with no matching payment. The report pullers only open reports and press their export buttons in a separate Chrome window; the app window itself has no network access, and every finding names the rows that produced it.

The Problem

What Wasn't Working

A practice that bills through two clinical systems, a card processor and a bank can't see who has actually paid: payments land in one place, visits in another, and mismatches surface months later.

The Solution

How I Fixed It

Pull the four reports automatically, match patients the way the clinic writes names (order, nicknames and record tags handled, ambiguous matches never guessed), run a set of reconciliation checks, and explain every finding with the rows behind it.
