A seven-page personal site for a New York finance professional built on one governing concept: an equity-research report that initiates coverage on its subject — rating box (STRONG HIRE), key-data table, numbered investment thesis, catalysts, and a coverage universe of four case studies. The design system is the finance identity itself: IBM Plex Serif/Sans/Mono, warm paper + ink navy + market green/red, ruled report tables, ticker tape, live ET clock. Charts are hand-rolled SVG with no libraries — including a live SMA crossover chart with hover crosshair — with palettes validated for colorblind separation. Print stylesheets yield a clean paper research report.
What Wasn't Working
A finance professional needed a portfolio whose business identity is the design language itself — not a generic personal-site template.
How I Fixed It
The whole site is framed as an equity-research report initiating coverage on its subject: rating box, thesis, catalysts and a four-case coverage universe, rendered in an IBM Plex report system with dependency-free SVG charts.
