Pause
Pause interrupts the reflex. Open an app you have marked, and a breathing screen arrives first; the stats it keeps are honest per-app counts rather than flattering totals, with quiet hours and notification muting alongside. The interruption engine is native Kotlin sitting on Android's accessibility service, while the interface is React Native shipped over the air so the product can move without a store review. Nothing leaves the phone.
What Wasn't Working
Screen-time tools either block apps outright, which people switch off within a week, or shame the user with a weekly total that changes nothing in the moment the reflex fires.
How I Fixed It
Interrupt at the moment of opening with one breath, keep the stats honest and per-app, and run the whole thing on-device so there is no account and no upload to distrust.
